Rig Simulator with WITS
The Rig / WITS Simulator simulates rig activities such as drilling, makings connection (complete with pump cycles and changing WOB) and outputs WITS data accordingly.
Custom WITS values can be added and these custom WITS values can be constants, ramps, sinusoids (time-based or depth-based) etc. The update rate can also be specified. The user can specify if these custom WITS items are to be transmitted during flow only (as with LWD data) or all the time. The WITS simulator can transmit data over serial RS232 or TCP/IP sockets. The TCP/IP socket mode supports server and client roles. The TCP/IP socket mode will continually retry connections in the event that the other end has gone down and restarted.
